  • All submissions must be a digital photograph of your work, no larger than 5Mb (file size). We accept the following file types - JPG, JPEG, PNG, GIF, TIFF, BMP and PDF.
    All entries must be accompanied by the following details: your name, term address, e-mail, telephone number, name of your College/University, lecturer’s name, lecturer's telephone number, theme of submission, medium, dimensions and your 100-200 word statement.
    All entries must be received by 31st January 2008.
  • Students are required to provide a 100-200 words statement with their work showing how they have followed their chosen brief.
  • Entries will only be accepted and eligible to be put forward to the judging process if they meet the criteria as stated above. The best entrants selected from each region will be contacted and asked to submit their original art for the regional final.
  • Lloyds TSB Commercial Finance accepts no responsibility for entries lost, damaged or delayed in the post. Proof of posting either via e-mail or post is not proof of delivery.
  • What you produce should be a visual piece that would reproduce effectively in print.
  • There are no restrictions on technique, materials or style (however work must be 2D and non photographic).
  • Students are permitted to submit a maximum of two pieces of art into this competition.
  • Submissions should be in a form suitable for commercial use in media (both press, direct marketing and online) and dimensions should be A4 minimum, A1 maximum.
  • Existing work completed by the entrant, that meets the brief, can be submitted as an entry.
  • Art submitted must not have already been displayed in a commercial environment including commercial galleries and must not be submitted for other display or work commercially.
  • Winning artworks will become and shall remain the property of Lloyds TSB Commercial Finance and join their permanent art collection. Full accreditation will be given to the winning students.
  • Entry to this competition is open to UK based colleges and universities and their students.
  • Employees and their immediate families of Lloyds TSB Commercial Finance and cchm:ping or anyone professionally connected with the competition will not be permitted to enter the competition.
  • Judging to decide the overall winner will be undertaken by the Managing Director of Lloyds TSB Commercial Finance, together with Creative Director, cchm:ping and leading professionals from the arts and business community.

Competition closing date

The closing date for the competition is 31st January 2008. Work will only be eligible if submission complies with the competition rules stated.
If you have not heard anything by 15th February 2008 you have not been successful. The judge's decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

Competition selection process

Regional finals will take place in Glasgow, Manchester, Leeds, Birmingham, Bristol and London. At each of these events Commercial Finance will display the best entries from each region which will be judged at the event to select the 3 regional finalists which will go on to the national final.
These entries will be judged at events to be arranged in suitable regional art galleries. Regional finals will take place end of March and throughout April 2008. The judges decision will be final.
The national final will take place in London at the end of April 2008 at an art gallery where the regional winners' art will be displayed. Judging to decide the overall winner will be undertaken by the Managing Director of Lloyds TSB Commercial Finance, together with the Managing Director of the advertising agency cchm:ping, and leading professionals from the arts and business community.

The judging will be conducted by the Managing Director of Lloyds TSB Commercial Finance, together with the Managing Director of the advertising agency cchm:ping, and leading professionals from the arts and business community.

Rights usage of the Art

Winning artworks will become and shall remain the property of Lloyds TSB Commercial Finance and join their permanent collection. Full accreditation will be given to the winning students.

Publicity

Winners will be notified at the event of their success and their details may be made available via PR and published on the Lloyds TSB Commercial Finance website.

Lloyds TSB Commercial Finance will have the rights to publicise the details of the Regional and National winners.
