Breakfast represents the best time of day to hold a business meeting, according to a recent survey.
A study by One Poll for an international coffee chain found that breakfast and morning meetings were more successful than meetings held in the afternoon. Two-thirds of respondents in the survey of 3,000 employees reported that breakfast meetings presented a better opportunity to close deals or negotiate contracts.
Continuing the trend, the research found that 25 per cent of respondents owned up to cancelling afternoon meetings as they felt it is more difficult to concentrate and there is less likelihood of getting a positive outcome.
With the economy on the rise, both small and large enterprises are advised to utilise meetings as a vital part of their expansion plans. As well as harnessing breakfast meetings and employing the most qualified staff, businesses can promote their growth plans by embracing sales finance options, enabling them to continue innovation.
A spokesman for the study commented to smallbusiness.co.uk, saying: ''People tend to be much more alert once they've had a good breakfast and a cup of coffee, so not only are people more likely to pay attention, but they are likely to be more enthusiastic about what is being discussed.''
