Many small and medium sized businesses look set to be experiencing growth as figures for recruitment have shown a rise.
A new report published by the Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC) has claimed that whilst the growth is slower than other recent months, July saw a rise in the number of people placed into permanent employment, smallbusiness.co.uk reports.
The construction, engineering and IT sectors saw some of the largest growth, whilst hospitality and healthcare saw the smallest rise. Overall, permanent staff availability improved at the sharpest rate for 18 months.
Pay also saw a rise, with salaries for permanent employees and hourly rates for temps both seeing a rise.
The positive figures suggest that many businesses are growing, many of which could turn to sales finance to allow a boost in cash flow to help them deal with the expansion.
Speaking to hrmagazine.co.uk, chief executive of the REC explained of the findings: "This month's report on jobs shows that the rate of job growth in July quickened from June's figures.
"These figures show that the jobs market is continuing to perform well despite general weaknesses in the UK economy. We have now had two years of continuous growth and employers are still continuing to hire staff."
