The transport and logistics sector has again been the largest driver in economic growth, reports suggest.
Figures from the annual Monster Employment Index UK suggested that in total, the UK's job market grew by 9 per cent on the figures for the same period of 2010. Individually, the transport and logistics sector saw a growth of 36 per cent, whilst production, manufacture and maintenance saw a rise of 35 per cent. Engineering completed the top three, registering a 33 per cent growth, smallbusiness.co.uk reports.
As businesses in these sectors continue to register growth, many may seek to use invoice finance in order to boost cash flow in the face of large-scale recruitment.
At the other end of the scale, the private sector registered the lowest on the index, seeing a decline of 15 per cent in new appointments. Legal also saw something of a decline, shrinking by 9 per cent on the figures for last year.
Speaking to thegrapevinemagazine.com of the study, spokesperson for Monster Michael Gentle explained: "The index shows recruitment trends steadily improving across the UK.
"This coincides with recent upward trends in industrial new orders, as reported by Eurostat and likewise, the ONS Index of Services recently reported rises in distribution and transport. Trends in the index continue to remain more favourable than a year ago."
