The majority of small businesses in the private sector are continuing to expand, according to a new survey.
Figures drawn by the Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC) have shown that the amount of permanent job opportunities available in the UK has increased for the 23rd consecutive month.
The poll also revealed that salaries of full-time workers had marginally increased over the month of June and candidate availability was also on the increase.
Speaking to HR Magazine, REC chief executive Kevin Green praised the growth of private sector businesses for helping the UK fight its way out of the recession.
He said: "We remain optimistic that the private sector can absorb public sector cuts. The UK jobs market is resilient and we are not expecting a double dip in employment.
"The slow and steady increase in private sector hiring should mean that workers leaving the public sector have possible job outlets."
It is thought that many small businesses could be taking advantage of invoice finance options in order to create more employment opportunities.
Invoice factoring is a particularly popular method of creating funds within the construction industry, which was named amongst the sectors creating the most jobs last month.
Managers.org.uk report that the computing and engineering industries were also expanding at an impressive rate.
