Factoring for a growing green business
Dan Robinson explains why his growing business required Lloyds TSB Commercial Finance factoring products:
“In our present guise, it’s a very seasonal business. We’re very busy in the summer, when garden waste is produced, but very quiet in the winter. So there comes a point where we need to expend diesel on day one of the month and we can’t actually invoice for that waste that came in on day one of the month until the end of the month. We then wait 30 to 60 days to be paid. So that brings about obvious problems in cashflow.”
Factoring: Business Finance with flexibility from Lloyds TSB Commercial Finance allows Com-Vert to grow, says Peter Bould:
“At Lloyds TSB Commercial finance, factoring is a product that advances monies against outstanding invoices and that was ideally suited to the way his business was growing. As the business grows and sales increase, our facility can increase along with them.”
Dan: "That’s really what we’re trying to develop at Com-Vert: diverse markets and diverse top quality products in order to give us strength in the future."
Com-Vert is a green waste recycling and compost business based in Northumberland.
Set up by Joe & Dan Robinson in 2002 to diversity their family farm, Com-Vert turned to Lloyds TSB Commercial Finance to grow their business.
